The Halifax Independent Filmmakers Festival presents a special pre-launch screening of Greg Jackson’s Bunker 6 where it was shot at the Debert Diefenbunker in the festival’s only event capable of withstanding a nuclear explosion.
In an alternate timeline where the atomic bombs go off in 1962, young Grace enters a whole new sheltered existence. 10 years later, the nuclear bunker she calls home is crumbling around her.
Halifax writer/director Greg Jackson’s micro-budget debut was produced through the First Feature Project, a collaboration between Film Nova Scotia and Telefilm Canada. Bunker 6 was a Best Feature Film winner at the Hamilton Film Festival and has had international screenings at sci-fi festivals from Boston to London.
A Q+A with the director Greg Jackson will follow the screening.
