Instructor: Morgan Salter & Terry Greenlaw

Terry Greenlaw

One of the first female independent producers in Atlantic Canada, Terry began her production career in 1986 after studying theatre at Dalhousie University. She’s been a partner in Picture Plant Ltd. since 1988. Based on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, the company is known for fostering Atlantic Canadian talent through exceptional television programs, documentaries, and feature films. Terry has also worked with offshore production companies as a service producer and has helped emerging filmmakers by serving in the role of Executive Producer. Terry is developing several film and television projects with Picture Plant, including co-productions with partners in Cuba, Montreal, London and Munich along with a slate of debut feature films by Atlantic women filmmakers. With over thirty years of producing experience, Terry’s current active production slate includes the feature films UNDER THE WEATHER (Director William D MacGillivray, heading into release), DAWN HER DAD & THE TRACTOR (Director Shelley Thompson, in post-production), BYSTANDERS (Director Koumbie, green-lit for production winter 2021) and A KILLING IN THE WOODS (Canada-UK Treaty CoProduction, green-lit for production summer 2021).

Morgan Salter

Morgan Salter is a festival organizer and emerging producer based in Halifax, NS. With a long-standing interest in and connection to filmmaking and storytelling, Morgan has experience supporting producers through every phase of development and production. As part of the FIN Atlantic International Film Festival team, Morgan is the manager of FIN Partners, Canada’s top international co-production/financing market with a focus on feature film and TV fiction, where she delivers the vision, program, and execution for the annual event.
