In this workshop you will receive an introduction to basic acting terms, and discuss how to create a mutual language on set. Techniques for helping your actors find specific emotions will be explored and you will practice strategy, with award winning actress Mary-Colin Chisholm!

Mary-Colin Chisholm won the 2015 Atlantic Film Festival Best Actress Award for her performance as Alfreda in Christian Sparkes "Cast No Shadow". It was her second time honour, her first was for "Mary and the Mayor", an Afcoop film written and directed by Mark Simkins in 1986.
Mary-Colin has had recurring leads in the television series "Black Harbour", "Pit Pony", "Haven" and "Made in Canada" as well as principal roles in a dozen or more feature and short films.
She has also played leads in over eighty plays at theatres including, Neptune, The National Arts Centre, The Centaur Theatre, The Manitoba Theatre Center, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Mulgrave Road, Theatre New Brunswick, The Belfry, Tarragon, The Mulgrave Road, Eastern Front, Ship's Co. etc...
She is a co-founder of two independent theatre companies Frankie Prod. and LunaSea Theatre and has worked as an actress, director, educator and writer for thirty years . Her feature screenplay, "Bellies" co-written with Marcia Kash was developed through Telefilm.
